This award recognises an outstanding Facilities Management project undertaken within a hospitality or leisure environment in the UK over the past 12 months. This may include hotels, resorts, visitor attractions, leisure centres, theatres, stadiums, or entertainment venues. The project may relate to any Facilities Management discipline or service. Submissions can be made by any individual, team, or organisation that played a leading role. This may include, but is not limited to, in-house FM teams, FM service providers, estate or operations managers, clients, landlords, or property management companies. Entry is by a 5-page A4 PDF submission; the judges will be looking for clear information backed up by facts that pays particular attention to the criteria listed below.

  • Project Background: Provide a clear overview of the project, including objectives, scope, timescales, project value, and the teams involved (e.g. client, FM team, service providers, contractors, key suppliers).
  • Planning and Execution: Explain why the project was commissioned and the strategy used to deliver it. Highlight how the project supported guest experience, operational continuity, safety, and compliance. Include details on sustainability initiatives, energy efficiency, and waste management where applicable. Confirm whether the project was delivered on time and within budget.
  • Innovation: Describe any innovative approaches, solutions, or technologies introduced during the project that enhanced operational efficiency, customer experience, or service delivery.
  • Challenges: Outline any challenges encountered, such as operating in live environments or peak trading periods, and explain how these were successfully managed or overcome.
  • Project Excellence: Explain why this project stands out within the hospitality and leisure sector. Support your entry with facts, figures, and measurable outcomes where possible.
  • Supporting Facts and Statements: Include any additional data, testimonials, or performance results that strengthen your submission.
