This award recognises an outstanding Facilities Management project undertaken within the pharmaceutical or life sciences sector in the UK over the past 12 months. This may include laboratories, manufacturing facilities, research centres, or cleanroom environments. Submissions are open to any individual, team, or organisation that played a leading role in delivering the project. Entry is by a 5-page A4 PDF submission; the judges will be looking for clear information backed up by facts that pays particular attention to the criteria listed below.

  • Project Background: Provide an overview of the project, including objectives, scope, timescales, project value, and the teams involved.
  • Planning and Execution: Explain why the project was commissioned and how it was planned and delivered in a highly regulated environment. Highlight compliance, safety, validation, sustainability, and operational continuity. Confirm delivery against timescale and budget.
  • Innovation: Describe any innovative FM solutions, technologies, or processes introduced that improved compliance, efficiency, resilience, or environmental performance.
  • Challenges: Outline challenges such as regulatory requirements, technical complexity, or live operational constraints, and how these were overcome.
  • Project Excellence: Explain why the project represents best practice within the pharma and life sciences sector, supported by measurable outcomes where possible.
  • Supporting Facts and Statements: Include any additional facts, certifications, performance metrics, or stakeholder feedback that support your entry.
